In 1999 they began the work of designing Avet reels. In January of 2002, Avet Reels introduced a new line of saltwater reels destined to revolutionize the conventional reel market. Avetў uses spur gearing in lower ratio models and featured a unique planetary gear system in high-speed retrieval models. This allows for effortless operation under demanding conditions imposed by anglers pursuing larger game fish species.

Specifications of Avet Reels:

• Avet® Reels also features a frame, spool and sideў plate fully-machined from billet 6061 T6 aluminum stock, which further provides incredible strength to it and makes its design corrosion resistant. The dual screw side plate of the fishing reels allows for an easy takedown and maintenance.

• The lower model Avet Reels uses the spur gearing and they feature an exclusive planetary gear system in their rapid retrieval models. This system allows for natural operation under challenging conditions imposed by the anglers going after the larger catches.

• This well designed planetary gear system also permits for a smaller gear case and lightening the reel to make it match the requirements of today’s anglers who prefer the lightweight rods. The six stainless steel ball bearings provide incredible smoothness to the Avet’s Reels. It also constitutes of an oversize carbon fiber drag system, combined with a stainless drag plate that provides Avetў Reels with a competitive edge over the others.

Avet Reels - Series SX

It's a tiny, powerful, variation on the Avet theme of leverdrag and super freespooling spins. This is one sweet 12-20# reel, a giant killer if there ever was one. The new SX avet reels is unique in terms of power and size.

Avet Reels - Series HX

The gear ratio is a very useful 4.2:1, and the weight is 25 ounces. Spooled reel with 50# line, you'll get 285 yards of line capacity. Alternatively, with 80# Spectra you'll have a good 300 yards plus room for a modest topshot.
